What’s On
I love the beginning of a new calendar year, and the fresh start that a new semester brings. As I write this update in February, I’ve already travelled to two conferences. The first was to the Kennedy Center American College Festival (Region 5) in Des Moines in January. I presented a workshop titled “Acting Shakespeare: the basics.” The first week of February brought me and the 10 students of Northwestern’s Drama Ministries Ensemble to the Calvin Worship Symposium in Grand Rapids, MI. We attended workshops and performed in 3 locations.
This month I will give a presentation to the Northwestern faculty on the research I did this past summer, funded by a Northwestern Scholarship Grant. The grant funded a project I’ve titled “Mennonite Women During War: A One-Woman Show.” I will also begin rehearsal for the show I’m directing in April: Arthur Miller’s adaptation of “An Enemy of the People.”
